What does a typical session look like?

For some people, the word “expressive arts” may sound intimidating. Your feelings are valid, and we promise you it’s not as scary as it may seem! ◡̈ Our clinicians will meet you where you are at. A typical treatment plan begins with a collaborative intake to collect information and symptoms you/your child are experiencing. During follow up appointments, while the patient is verbally processing, the clinician may incorporate visual arts into the treatment plan using markers, crayons, paint, clay, oil pastels, etc to further expand on the healing process. The clinician may also use other arts modalities and integrate musical instruments, sand tray therapy, breathwork, dance movement therapy, and nature based interventions to further enrich the mind-body connection.
